About Me

Wondering why I coach? Here’s the tea:

I am a former wine mom, grateful to have over four years of freedom from gray area drinking: the foggy area between take-it-or-leave-it drinking and full-blown addiction.

My journey to alcohol freedom began with Dry January 2018, and continued with The Alcohol Experiment, a free 30-day online program, a couple months later. By July 2018 I was ready to commit to one year alcohol-free, a journey I chronicled on my blog, Maintaining Mama, and Instagram. I never expected to become a non-drinker, but it’s the choice that works best for me. As a coach, I work with drinkers and non-drinkers, and those who are sober curious and want to take a break from drinking with my Booze Break program. Sobriety is not a pre-requisite for working with me, and I will never judge your choices or your relationship with alcohol.

My writing has been featured on Motherly and This Naked Mind, and I have been blogging since 2018. Season one of the Maintaining Mama Podcast is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, and other players. I am currently writing a memoir about my motherhood journey.

I graduated with honors from Brown University in 2002 and received an MBA from the University of Cambridge in 2009. I completed my dual certification coaching program in November 2021 at the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches. In March 2022, I received my SHE RECOVERS® Coaching Designation (SRCD), which means that I am trained in and my work aligns with the SHE RECOVERS® Intentions & Guiding Principles.

Here’s what you can expect from working with me:

  • A judgement-free zone where you will have the space to explore your personal strengths, core values, and what gives meaning and purpose to your life;

  • A personalized approach tailored to your needs and goals;

  • Fun, insightful worksheets and exercises that will boost your self-awareness and shed light on the spots where you may feel stifled or stuck;

  • Consistent, friendly support during and between our sessions;

  • My hand on your back and my complete confidence in your capability.
